I can't believe I've never seen this thread or the older version before! It's cool getting the inside scoop on some of you. CycoMom and Dad have six kids and still frag at theVille?!? I think we should all be bowing down to them saying, "We're not wooorthy... We're not woooorthy."

My name is Rich. I'm 35 and I live in Herndon, Virginia, which isn't far from Washington DC. I work in the mortgage industry. A couple of years ago I went through a training program at my company to become a software developer. I'm still learning the technical skills, but its a pretty cool job.

I debated whether or not to post about this, but I think about it alot, so what the hell. I love the Ville, but it is a sort of bittersweet for me because I know my brother Mike would love it too. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago. I know it would have blown his mind to play a 3D game like this with players all over the world. But this stuff just wasn't around before he died. So, when I find something really cool like the community at theVille, I'm happy about it, but a little bummed too. It'd be nice to hang with him in game like YPAWOM and RataTat do. (Not that they don't fight like crazy hehe) He was extremely funny, with a real sarcastic sense of humor. I'm sure if he was around he would reply to this in a way that would be clever, insightful, and make me look like an idiot! But it'd be damn funny.

Anyway, I don't mean to bring anybody down or anything. Truth is, if he did play here, he'd probably just kick my ass all the time anyway. He always was better at games than me. I guess the only reason I'm bringing this up, is that I don't know anybody that plays games like this except you folks.. and him. So it just seemed right to mention him.

I also just want to echo what Pornstar was saying to Whybkuul. I feel for you Bill, but try not to let it get to you. I get depressed sometimes too. (I, too worked at a call center, once) Two practical things that have helped me are, exercise and volunteer work of some sort. Something about helping someone else always makes me feel better about my own situation, whatever it is. I'm not much for giving advice about women, but if you really are thinking about suicide alot, you should talk to someone. Family doctor, friend, neighbor... someone. In any case, hang in there, man.

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by all the musicians here. But I am gratified to find fellow drummers. It figures the nervous energy that drummers always seem to have would find an outlet on a mouse and keyboard. And there is something rythmic about the spitting of bullets from an AC or even a nail gun, isn't there? There's nothing like getting a kill while tapping out the beat of a song with your weapon.

Anyway, I'll frag you all later!

Life would be sweet if I was an admin. No llamas on org 1 ever. Some people have this idea that all TVB's are admins, but unfortunately I am not a real admin. I don't have the power the humiliate and kick/ban llamas. And I have to actually wait in line for a position to play. I can't just waltz in and take my special reserved seat . Oh well, thanx for the support.

Hey Pornstar, just curious but how are you involved with the Boy Scouts? I am an Eagle and wish I could be more involved than I am--mostly all I have time to do now is sit on Eagle review boards. (I remember my own from '87 so I am not too hard on them ) I hope that the child my wife is pregnant with is a boy, then in a few years I will be able to get him into scouting and myself again, too.

Whybkuul, it is so much more fun to play capture Whybkuul's tower if you are on the other team.

damn, if i keep calling this map capture whybkuul's tower, it might catch on! anyone that wants to join me in the tower when i go for it can be included in the name, such as mulisha, he joins me now. so you're all invited as long as you're on the same team as me.

Hey, I was with you a few times on that game (I was Pinky if you remember me, doubt it though lol)...Even though you always managed to beat me by a few split seconds every time I'd like a piece of the action too...maybe we can even start a "Capture Whybkuul's Tower Tournament!" lol.

Gindapoo, I am an Associate Advisor in a Explorer Post or as the crappy National Office would call it a Venture Crew. now.

I only got to the rank of Life. I was active on the Order of the Arrow and recieved my Vigil many moons ago it seems. I also belong to a group of volunteers that takes care of one of our camps. Bottom line I am just manual labor.

***Updated Version***

We should have started this a long time ago, for the most part I had no idea about any of the new regulars, so I've been reading through.

Whybkuul, I consider myself sort of TheVille relations guy since I've replied to a number of posts like yours. Here goes, whatever you do don't suicide, while it is a good tactic in game to cure yourself of an infection, it's not a good idea in real life to cure depression. Do you really need this girl, I'm sure everyone thought their first was the best, but every subsequent relationship past the first is usually better since you gain experiance from the past ones. If she dumped you and is already with another guy don't even waste another moment thinking about it. Take out your agression, frustration on games and such. Get out and meet new girls, I assure you there are plenty out there, but don't freak em out by talking about your ex, just leave the past in the past, it's over and done with, you'll be a happier person if you do.

***Now on with the post....
I'm a 20 year old student at the Art Institute of Houston, I am getting my degree in Animation Arts and Design (fancy corporate name for Computer Animation). I don't have much free time at all, and what free time I have I usually spend playing games, drawing, and spending time with my Girl. Otherwise I'm doing schoolwork or am at The Art Institute in class.

My computer is in constant upgrade and is currently a Duel Processor(AMD1.4s) with the Gainward GeForce3 graphixx card, and 120GB of raided hard drive space. I am also in the process of drawing up designs to mod my computer case and do a custom paint job on it. My ride is a Black Eclipse Spyder 97'. I basically have the bodybuild of a scout and now have Spikey Blue hair (real permanant electric blue, not that manic panic crap, hair dyers you know what I'm talkin bout)

I've been playing Team Fortress since May of 2001 and started playing regularly at theville (then known as Avantiville) in late June/August 2001. And yes my Brother is Rata-Tat-Tat. I'm the older brother by 13 months.

I listen to Industrail, Death Metal and some Punk music. Movies of note include Men In Black, Unbreakable, Hellraiser 1 and 2, Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer, Gladiator, House on Haunted Hill 99'. I'm not a real big fan of anime, But I do like DragonBall Z, I get flak for this because "oh dragonball has no plot it's sucky anime..blah blah". DragonBall Z may not have the greatest art in the world, but man do they know a good fight, you've not seen a beating until you've seen that, no other fighting in animes, or anything else for that matter, can hold a candle to them. I also Like to watch the Simpsons, Futurama, Invader Zim, Sci-Fi channel and Comedy Central. Other games I like to play are WarCraft2, StarCraft, Diablo2, Black and White, Quake 3 Arena, RUNE, Unreal Tournament, Marvel vs Capcom 2(arcade), and Super Smash Brothers(N64). I also play pencil and paper RPG's like Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Hero's Unlimited, and one that my friend has been creating and working on for years and hopes to publish. For reading...comix.. Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, I Feel sick, BattleChasers, Eve:Protomecha. Well I don't think I've left much out...so that's me YourPowersAreWeakOldMan!

Your Powers Are Weak Old Man, you sound exactly like how i was right up until i discovered the world of darkness, to the letter. I did all the same stuff and watched the same shows and such. Then i found WoD and online RPing, and... well... yea. TFC and that became more important then everything else.

Oh, and DBZ is only good because of Trunks and Goten. Kids with powers. Heck yea.

An addition to mine, though... something that totally slipped my mind, yet is most definatly very fun and important to me: The Sandman graphic novel series, by the vertigo line. (Neil Gaimen(sp) or something is the actual author.) Hellblazer and preacher, by vertigo, are pretty awesome as well, and i enjoy reading them.

Just some more stuff about me.

Sandman huh, my girlfriend has a couple of those, and she has the Sandman Covers collection, some nice photo collages they are.

Hmm I don't really care for the kids in DragonBall Z, sure they may have powers, but they're kinda annoying, I like the villains, especially when they finally cut the sandbagging and get down to it with Goku. I didn't like Cell or Vegeta, my Favorite villain is Freeza, but they messed up his voice when they dubbed it into english. The end half of the Freeza saga had some of the best animation direction, art, effects, and emotion in the entire damn series.

Freeza ended up sounding like a woman trying to be a man. I like the saga that has been on lately, the ones where Goku is fighting to train with the Grand Kai. My other favorite saga was the Android one. Although Cell comes off as...yeah. Anyway, anyone heard of a store called Hot Topic? I worked there until this month. I was even E.O.M for November. Had to quit cause I failed Physics last semester. It was fun, I got to pick on the high school mall rats....
{edit}

Whybkuul, suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem. I was in almost the exact same situation a few years ago. My friend of 9 years and girlfriend of 6 months cheated on me and then dumped me for the captain of the football team the day after my birthday. My mom knew about it before I did. A friend of mine had commited suicide a few months earlier, and I had been thinking about it for nearly two years. My girlfriend, who was my friend for 9 years prior to us dating, helped me deal with a lot of stuff. Which made it harder to let her go. I'm still bitter, but I know that she isn't worth my time. I suggest telling this girl how you are feeling. Sometimes telling the person who hurt you how they make you feel inside can be theraputic. She may not realize the extent to which she hurt you. And, she won't know until you tell her. Communication is the key. Isolation will only make things worse. Have you talked to a doctor about anti-depressants? I've been taking them for almost 5 years now, and they definitely help me cope with stuff. I'd also recommend talking to your parents. Often times they are willing to help, but only if they know you need it. Take care of yourself Bill. Don't let one girl, no matter how special she was, take away what you have to offer the world. Stay safe buddy, Joe.
