Maybe it's just me, or my Beta 1.0 background, but
spawn camping never really bothered me, maybe because
I did it myself, back when it was real spawn camping,
and you were actually IN their spawn, and there
was only one way for them to leave. Those were
the days.
Anyways, the stuff now it just crap, if
you know a guy is "spawn" camping, SHOOT HIM, or!
just go the other way!
Ever since they fixed the whole spawn camp thing
back in the beta 2.x's, I've never once been only
able to take two steps and die. There really just
isn't spawn camping like they used to have it, and
besides, it's easier to get out of these days too.

Well, I don't "spawn" camp here just because this
is the one of the only half cool servers I've played
on in a long long time.  It's too tough to do
"spawn" camping these days anyway , you're too much
out in the open and you actually have a chance to
pop up.
The only truely cool one was a killer 24/7
Caen/Mainz/Omaha one a group of guys ran back in 1.0 Beta.

good now i dont have to run in fear all the time when i get next to a respawn and hear hells fury raining on me from there at least now i can cap the flag and shot the ______(insert random word) to defend myself

There is a point in there where it is possible to camp respawn. If you are caught, you are gone. If you are hiding right where they drop out of their spawn then it is spawn camping and is not allowed. There are many points to hide in that house that is not spawn camping though.

The map was designed that way. This rule doesn't really apply to charlie.

yeah i got killed right out of spawn by a guy and his excuse was its in cal that i can camp there well anyway all i did was ask him not to do it again and welll the brat wouldnt let it go...anyway i dont know what happened to him cause after he got kicked once and i forget who came in and warned him again(think it was jfet) i left to get something to eat cause lets just say mcdonalds is far more powerful than listening to an annoying kid. but anyways his excuse for coming back was i hate whiners and "noob" servers...im like alright hate me if u want just shut up...anyways i said my piece and now it can be laid to rest

Well that's pretty clear isn't it? Yesterday on TV VII the Allies were throwing nades from the top of the ramp into Axis spawn and firing into it constantly.
I bitched about it politely because it's spawn camping. If that's not spawn camping, it's impossible to spawn camp on Anzio. Move one foot forward and the "machine guns" get you. How is that not spawn camping?
And then I got the "If you don't like it THEN LEAVE" message from an someone with a TVB tag. I was pretty surprised, I've never seen a Ville clan member not be familiar with TheVille's rules and simple, obvious DoD etiquite. |

Hey Ten Yard, I reviewed the logs for that game and someone did say "If you don't like it then leave" but according to the logs it was not directed at you it was directed at the same people you were complaining about and it was Turbo <TVR> not <TVB> hope this clears it up.
I have the steam I.D. and names of the spawn campers and will keep an eye out for them, if it happens again they will be takien care of. But as Az stated if you post in the complaint dept. with the info it will be delt with swiftly.
