WHERE HAVE ALL THE VILLUNS GONE?

I haven't seen a dramatic (uh oh, I used "drama") decrease in that many overall servers for the TFC Mod. I just checked and there are still 1,184 TFC servers in use. That's down from the 1,300-1,400 you used to see. That's not bad. There are still as many leagues and more mods than ever. This game has stood the test of time like EverQuest has for almost four years. Certain games just have the timing and get it right. The reason why TFC "looks" like it's a dying mod is because many people at The Ville are now playing NS and/or DOD. The Ville still has three to four servers, just over three different mods. TFC is an addicting and yet simple game to play. It also don't stress your cpu all that much. I say it's not as it was in it's prime but still going pretty strong.

For me, the constant complaining about how to play the game has soured my taste for TFC. It used to be an occasional, "bah lamer HW". Now it seems that every single little aspect of the game is scrutinized to the point that it has become dull. But that's just my view.

I can play DOD for several hours and not once hear a complaint about my class selection or style of play.

We all play a lot of TFC!

I think it's only natural that people focus on and disect the little things so much that it just becomes a constant barrage of complaints about this and that.

It's the same all over though. Not just here. This may not be what everyone else sees, it's just my take and the reason I tend to join a DOD server before a TFC server.

I think TheVille is moving in the right direction with introducing new mods and games. It's all an attempt to keep things fresh and fun. I do hope to enjoy TFC again as I used to. But for now, I'm still on break from it.

I have been away from theville for numerous reasons. One of which was that I was sorting through all of the stuff going on in real life right now for myself. This downfall in the economy has hit a lot of people in different ways. I would guess that a lot of people have left because of everything going on here in the forums and what might have dragged on into the game. Others have gone because they need a change from theville. Even yet, others have left because they have had conflicts with other players or with the admins. Lets face it, we have numerous different personality types here, some of us are going to be butting heads. Those of us who are, are either going to have to work something out, ignore the people, or just leave, like somepeople have probably done. Others have probably gone under different aliases to avoid conflicts and to get a new take on the game.
