The story of the blunderbuss: The blunderbuss was a unique sort of gun with a funnel-shaped barrel and some very strange shooting characteristics. It was made in various forms between the seventeenth and ninteenth centuries.

During the American Revolution, Germany was divided into over 300 principalities. Many of these tiny countries supplied soldiers to the British army in its fight against America, but by far the largest group came from Hesse-Cassel. As a consequence, during the war and ever since, all of the Germans fighting with the British were lumped together and called Hessians.

The Hessians' services were bought and paid for by George III, who simply did not have enough soldiers in his own army to supply the needs of his commanders in America. German soldiers had served many European nations in a similar fashion for years, but they were not true mercenaries. Most of the Hessians received no compensation for their services beyond their daily bread. It was the Prince of Hesse-Cassel, Frederick II, who made off like a bandit in his dealings with George III. He sold the services of 12,000 Hessians to the English at [sterling]7 4s. a head.

In reality BLue you are to young to know ahhhh now isn't that a good feeling!

They do have Molsons in the U.S., btw, and quite frankly, I found it to be positively revolting! You Canucks are nuts! Too much Molsons, I'd guess.

JD and Shaft simmer down we don't want to start a flame here as long as they understand that we are naturally on top of them. Geographically that is, and when we are finished with Tim's and Molsen's they can have some.

Hoaxie and Dragoon, "spells it that way cause he dosn't know there is only 1 o", hee hee, oh sorry back to subject. The only Molsens you will ever try DOWN there, no pun intended, is the stuff that we 3 canucks ALLOW to be exported simply below grade material I can assure you.

I believe that enough has been said about this matter and no reply will be accepted, thankyou very much.
