Funny you said that. I was playing demo the other day setting dets and a couple ppl though it would be funny to stand on it so when I went off I'd be killed. But oh well, what can you do.

Yea that's exactly how I feel about it, or when I thorw a MIRV and my teammates see it and still go running into it. It just seems really inconsiderate.

Well personally I've found the mp_teamplay setting which basically makes it so jackass teammates can't strip your armor, and no mirror damage (also involving problems with dumbass teammates sitting on nades and such) the most enjoyable and fun to play in. Perhaps this would be the best option, especially on a server of generous size.

I'd have to dissagree with that though. I think there should be some sort of damage if you shoot your own team to yourself, but not so strong or just on your armor. That way you wouldnt die from a detpack or sniping you teammate by accident but it would take away your armor instead making you vulnerable. Not sure if its admin mod that does it or just plain ol hlds but I know Ive been on server that if a det pack went off it would basically take all your armor away if teammates were in the area.

Yeah I agree some kind of damage, just not so harsh.
Maps like Avanti, Warpath, are just about impossible to not hit your teammates on, because they walk in front of you so much.
So some adjustement would be awesome.

The only other thing I have ever seen on a server was where your teammates could strip YOUR armor by shooting you. Nothing happened to them. I for one, don't want that on the Ville. It sounds like there are no settings available for rachetting down the amount of mirror damage or limiting the mirror damage to armor only. If there were, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I don't think it exists without hacking Half-Life and TFC.

That's my best guess about this issue.

you're saying it like its either mirror or FF... why not turn off both??

What I really hate is servers that turn on TK and then ban you first time you hit a teammate (aka almost all CS servers which is really annoying cause everyone looks so similar if you're paranoid and shoot everyone like me. I get banned a lot lol)

Nah, I've seen it where it strips your armor when you shoot other players. Having it strip the other persons armor would be like FF and just promote LLAMA's
