Actually the C isnt for Celeron, its the for the Northwood line of CPUs, the newest batch are called Prescotts and are followed by a E. The previous P4s were Bs and A's.
Here is a example of whats changed.
2.4A (Didnt exist, but if it did) 400mhz bus
2.4B Did exist, 533mhz Bus
2.4C 800mhz Bus
2.4E 800mhz bus, more onboard cache.
The E didnt really give you anything that the C couldnt except for more heat and it allowed Intel to build faster CPUs. _________________

And the prescotts are slower clock for clock than northwoods anyway. |

ty for this... i've asked some people and nobody knew what the letters were for ( my board can support up to 2.8 p4) and i dind't know what the letters were. i thought it was a grade... like A best and C average and all that... this blows my mind and goes against everything i learned on a school report card. So you mean to say that the better CPU's are the higher letters?!?!?!?! _________________
