I didn't mean you. I was just saying that in general.

The better stats are at http://tv4.theville.org/stats/ I just say cyco because it's easier.

I agree with violent pacifist, a skilled sniper can hold off the opposing force from winning the map. But I also agree with Pat, no matter how good a sniper you are, you can't stop the uncanny and clever rushing of Sajak's, they'll get you no matter how clever you are. I often see familiar sniper names leave games if the team is losing really bad and it's not a sniper friendly map like anzio or kalt. are they too afraid to hurt their precious stats?

A decent sniper can turn the tide just as well as an 'asshole gurellia', but I have more respect for latter...the asshole guerllia is more likely to help your team win a match. Although I've seen some truely impressive mobile snipers, guys who run and gun all over the place rather than be pr0nestars.

Snipers in the right places can really help to keep important areas clear.

I've actually found myself sniping recently. I find this particularly amazing since I've never really seen much merit in sniping. If my team doesn't have a good sniper (or someone who isn't even trying to use good sniping spots) or any sniper at all I'll usually take the role for a while - especially on Donner and Merderet.

I try to emulate those mobile snipers I've seen every now and then when I am a sniper, and I'll only become one if no one on our teams is, and we're being owned by another sniper. Funny thing is, I've knifed more people as a sniper than any other class in this one game in dod_meredet...I think I got about 9 people. Truth be told the team I was playing against wasn't all that good though, I could tell they weren't experienced simply because there are so many instances where I should've died, but didn't. They knew where I was, but weren't tossing primed nades at me, they just kept running in and letting me knife them in the backs. I still had fun doing it though.
