Actually, the judges just picked people, not indiviual photos..........

actually, as far as I myself was concerned, I picked an individual photo for each of my top three. The thing is that the accumulated points went to the entrants, not to the photos, hence vTEC could have gotten high points for three different photos, thus making him the winner. Hope that's not too confusing...............

no no as a judge i can explain, people submitted 3 photos, we picked the best of there 3 and compared it with the best of the others. no matter how many were submitted, we picked 1 from each person then picked the best out of all the people, guess you could say everyone had 3 chances to get it, follow?

I just didn't understand it the way Azrael put it. He made it seem like the winner was determined by who the person was not by the pics. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Since everyone put in three photos (and could not have put in more anyways), how could someone have gotten more points for putting more photos in?

Here's how it went

vTEC puts in three photos

I pick one of his as my first choice, giving him 3 points for that photo.
Cpt_Keyes picks another one of his photos for 3rd, giving him one point.
Giz and KRG both pick his third photo for their 2nd place choice, giving him 2 points per vote for a total of 4. Add it all up and vTEC got 8 points (not really how it happened but it's just for demonstration).

Now Stevo's photos went through the same process, but he ended up getting 7 points because I picked him for 2nd, Keyes picked him for 1st, and KRG and Giz picked him for 3rd. So he got 2nd.

Rinse and repeat, until all the votes have been cast, and all the points tallied, and you ended up with the winners being decided by a point system where a 1st place vote resulted in 3 points, a 2nd place vote garnered 2, and third gave out 1. There was a total of 30 points available, whoever got the most of those 30, took 1st. Understand yet?
