One more tip. Never EVER camp. There are people who take it upon themselves to sneak up behind you and knife/shovel you in the butt.

tips for a noob from a noob:

expect to die alot. weapons kill easier than what you may be used to with TFC...so first sighted usually means first dead..it just happens.

and learn the maps...fast routes to key flags, common hiding places and choke points/high traffic areas. these have all been the root of my demise.

alot of th automatic weapons' recoil causes your cross hairs to pull upwards. to eliminate this try aiming for the ankle/shin area and the recoil should do its job and pull up and lay some lead into their chest/head

also, dont kill me because i will cry if you do

Hmm... well, you should always bring a teamate with you. It's great when going through the sewers and ending up behind the opposite time, makes it easier to kill everyone and hold them off until more teamates arrive.

Well, I am still at a loss with the game, about all I know is kill the enemy(kinda know how to tell them apart), and cap the flag. I know nothing about the classes or anything else like that.

being you're a newb, i'd probably stick to:

Allies (american): Thompson = Master Sergeant
Allies (british): Sten = Sergeant Major
German: MP40 = Unteroffizier

these weapons are the easiest to control IMO and are still "spray & pray" approved.

Unless accuracy is above "newbie" status I wouldnt use the k98 , Garand, or Enfield as their rate of fire is much lower than that of machine guns, leaving you quite vulnerable if you miss.

then again, this is my opinion... others might say different
