Wont get ATI so no changing my mind about that, Intel & AMD I just preffer AMD, As for overclocking I wont do it i dont really mess with that stuff much, HD i deff dont need 120GB right now since i keep as little programs on my comp as possible, Video Card Is in the category for best cards for HL2 so ill keep with it instead of paying $200 more for a higher card, No need for a DVD drive when i have my xbox in the same room :p

I have an ASUS board now, and have had no problems since I got it (almost a year now). All board companies have bad boards though, so I would check reviews on the boards you are interested in.

AMD is what I will probably always go with. I prefer them, as they are cheaper and work very well. I don't overclock though, as processor speed is overrated in my opinion. They do get warmer than Intel, no doubts about that.

I also prefer Nvidia, as we use ATI at work, and there have been some problems with them. Nvidia is what I always use at home though, and they have been wonderful.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Upgrade to the 5600 Ultra if the cost isn't too different. The clock speeds on the Ultra are almost twice as fast as the regular.

Yeah, still about double my price range. Sure sounds like a nice system.
