Yeah, the big difference in the East Coast as opposed to the West Coast for earthquakes is that we don't build for them in the East. We have lots of brick and mortar buildings that can be expected to shake apart in a strong quake. And other building techniques that wouldn't pass code in California. Unfortunately, if a big one ever does hit the east, it is likely to be a pretty bad one for damage. I sure don't want to be going over a bridge when it hits.
