Hello people - tomorrow, with any luck, breakout4 will be released - perhaps it'll be the last and final build. There is still one annoying problem of some people spawning inside others, but no-one can figure out what the hell's going on there, so unless it fixes itself we'll leave it - it's non-fatal, all you gotta do is jump a bit to move - like DoD's early releases.
Not only that - but also released at the same time, will be a set of points for bots to use for you to playtest the map offline.
So hop along to http://www.foxbot.net
And download whatever version they're on now.

Then sit and wait for version 4 to be released.

Greebo you're releasing all these maps but we can't play them coz they ain't in the map cycle on tv. Could you make a server so we can play them all together?

Greebo, is the bug anything like going out the door on the map Acropolis and getting stuck in it's door only moving a few inches in any direction?? Cannot figure that out..

We get to play them, on custom map nights and <TVB> special game nights.

I didn't think there was anything wrong with the previous release of Breakout. I think it was 3. Although it was a hassle getting to the final command point because you have to run down that large stretch of area that snipers and long range guys can totally take advantage of and keep eveyone back.

kronic it's not in rotation cos it ain't finished - when it's finished (it'll just be released as breakout) it may go into rotation.

The bug is very weird - if you've played DoD in its earlier stages you'll know what I'm on about. What happens is everyone spawns inside one another - they can't move - but if they jump they can move around fine....it's incredibly annoying too.

It will be part of a custom map night I am planning for the weekend to make up for the postponing of the cup.

I can now confirm that the possible spawn bug mentioned in the info file does exist - which sucks.
However it's been solved, so the next (and hopefully final) build will be fine.
