You should by it Roof so you can fly the planes, drive ships, all the goodies! I am a fairly decent dog fighter! I like it because you are not bound to any certain task. You can take your choice of dozens of enemy targets to take out. You can be a ground troop, pilot, ship captain, gunner, tank driver, and more. It's totally open at all times and I like that. I like to spam their air strips and aircraft carriers!  Nothing beats getting sniped while floating down with your parachute after ejecting! That's just evil!  
This game is where I hope many games are going. Once they can mix the in your face fragging/teamwork of TFC with the openess/freedom of GTA 3, I will have found my game. 
But TFC is my woman now!

I have also played the demo which seemed really cool except for the fact that its the resource hog from hell.
