Today they are celebrating 7-11's 75th anniversary at all their North American locations by giving away free Slurpee's.

If its as hot where you live as it is here today I suggest you go to as many 7-11's as you can find.

That would be nice since it's FREE, but we don't have 7-11's here. #Puppy dog

Ah yes, the 7-11... a great american tradition... and can't be found in america!? I don't know of any here (small city) or in the Minneapolis area... first person to document an american 7-11 gets a free slurpie!

Well, in Houston, 7-11 sold most of their locations to Stop n Go several years ago. Stop n Go bit off way more than they could chew and ended up filing Chapter 13 (I think) because they had too many store too close together. When I still lived in Houston, there were 6 SnGs within a 2 mile mile radius of me.

ummmm... yeah, that's on topic.

There are bunch of them here, but the closest one is like 5miles away or so, not to bad. It's needed, since right now we are going through our first heat wave.

Mainly, because the city i live in is all residential, but if you exit the city any direction there is buisnesses and commericial.

Ex1: 7miles east = Disneyland, DCA, and the rest of Anaheim
Ex2: 2miles south = Westiminister w/ mall and a lot shopping areas
Ex3: 8miles southwest = Huntington Beach( the beach where i go to)

So when i say 5 miles or so, give or take 3 miles.

I know someone else has already documented a 7-11 location. But there is one at East 10th street and Air Depot Boulevard in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Used to drive by it every day going to and from work, also had the cheapest gas for miles around.

Too bad I now live about 175 miles from said 7-11. I could use a free slurpie--been outside mowing my lawn. (Ahh, the thrills of home ownership.)

Here in Vegas we even have 7-11's lit up like everything else here. It's kinda cool to see. Funny I don't have one to close to me though. This town is infested with 7-11's though. Thx for the tip JD
