I respect what you're doing Juxt, sometimes wish I had the balls to do the kind of thing you're doing. Take care.

Well there is a lot of support for him. A lot of Dems seem to still back him. But, I respect a person like Juxta to quit for what he believes in. Words and action are two powerful things.

Chan, I know that TFC is why we all are here, but you have to realize that there are people behind those screen names. It bugs me that some ppl think that just because they are nothing more to them than a name that ppl don't deserve respect. I do realize that the Ville is *not* public domain, so the admins can censor anything that they want. I'm just voicing my opinion that I don't like what they censor. If they want to censor that, censor away.

Plus, I hate this emoticon. #Beer

I hate drinking...

DEATH TO THE EMOTICON! #2gunfire #Beer

Wouldn't it be great if there was a Controversial Subjects board? Goldom, Snaggle, and I would never leave! That way you could go in knowing that you are gonna get flamed and come out ppl were not being malicious, but rather voicing rather strong opinions.

TFC is how I got here, but not why I am still here. I am sorry but I have to say this. There are a lot of wonderful people here who have been nothing but kind to me. I have been through a world of s**t this past year and this place and these people kept me going. Some of those people even say f**k on occasion... so what... some of those people do not share my political views, some of those people do not share my religious views... BUT those people share my views on human compassion. And that MY FRIENDS is why I am here. I do not care about all the rest. I know that these people are good, genuine people... and if you can't see that (this pertains to anyone) through your veil of whatever you choose to hide behind then I weep for you!

For the record, I don't drink either. But I am not God... and it is not my place to stand in judgement. Bottom line is how do these people treat one another. By and large... I'd say very well.

Oh and another thing.... bye Juxta, you were fun to play with. I am sorry that you have decided that your time spent here has gone against your moral fiber. Does continuing to read and post here not do the same?

Eh... well... I guess that pertains to me. I don't have anything against any of you... but... well... I just have a hard time trusting people. Please don't be offended by this, anyone, its nothing personal, you're all good people. I just feel this way about all... well... almost all humans. I really... don't like humanity as a whole. I have my reasons. Heck, most of them aren't even my reasons... though... I guess they've become mine now. And... I try to see good in people, I really do, but... It takes effort.

But please don't think I'm attacking any of you - I know you're all nice people, my grudge against the world has nothing to do with you, so don't think I'm trying to blame you or anything.

Farewell Juxt.

Follow your heart. If this is what you feel is the right thing to do then go with it, but leave graciously and you'll leave with much more respect. I wish you well in whatever you decide to do next.

Reading these posts all I can say is WOW. I'm sorry to see you go Juxt. You were a lot of FUN to play with but only you can decide what is right for you. Good luck with whatever you decide in life.

And Goldom, that is a hard and depressing way to go through life, not trusting anyone. Something must have dramatically happened to cause you to feel this way. I'm not flaming you in any way by this. I just think it is sad that's all.

I had much more to say but I think Hoax did a pretty good job convering most of it so I will just say "ditto".

Well, good luck Juxtaposition. I hesitate to bring this up, but you can turn down the level of gibs (gore) in TFC in your settings if it bothers you. I mean sure its a still a violent military based game, but at least there isn't the bloody bones spinning around. But I can understand what you mean. I never played Doom II for the same reasons. Why would I want to chainsaw zombified human beings and aliens? I don't.

As for the other stuff, I know I am not a Republican. I certainly support the military and Bush's response to September 11th, but I am not a big W fan. That support is more about standing together as a nation. That being said, I also know that when political fights have ensued on this board, people get pissed off. Not so much about the opinion as the fight itself happening on the board. So, if something political gets posted that I disagree with, I just don't post back to argue about it. After all, everyone has a right to their opinion. And folks who read this forum have a right to expect it to have something (however tangentially) associated with TFC and the Ville community. Political arguments here would make about as much sense as a Macintosh vs. PC debate in my opinion.

In any case, good game and take care Juxtaposition,

That is untrue, We as in admins and Villuns in general posted against lumping all arabs and muslims into a single group. This statement is off base and not a reflection of what or how those threads were handled.
And I can't stress enough, it was the general feeling of everyone here not just admins.
I was proud of the way "we" the Ville people responded.
