My friend needs some help, plz read

He is trying to play TFC but this blasted error keeps coming up during his game play. It says CL_flushentitypacket and I have no idea what is going on with that.... Could we possibly get an admin to help us?

Hey KopiKat that happens to me alot its just a lag. U have to restart ur game is over usually if that comes up so restart ur computer to fix it.

You may also have to lower your rate or some other connection stuff.

I dont think you have to restart you computer jason, when it happens to me i just disconnect from the server, and rejoin right away...i dont know what exactly causes the error, but it does have something to do with lag

Type "rate" in your console and if you have dial-up set it to 3000 by typing "rate 3000" no quotes though. I would probably try this setting even if you are on a higher connection and work your way up until it just gives you that message.

SUpposedly that error code means you lost connection with WON. I had a lot of those errors before. I put fps_max 45 in my config file and maybe have only had it twice in 2 months. It is a connection related issue.

I used to get that when i was on 56k... Set your rate down to generally to 100 per kb of connection speed... The default is 9000(!) But somepeople need as low as 2000 to get playability. I had mine set at 7500 i found out... i set it up for a faster connetion... i was going good at 11000, but i then found out that TV1, TV2, and i think one other has the capped rate at 6500... I was playing clear as could be on most of the servers, but those three... Was pretty awful. I kept choking.

I posted a link to The next level site a bit back... There is a huge number of tweeking options that supposedly help your lag on slower connections.
