I always use the rocket when spy checking. If it is a spy, the sooner I get them off the feet the less chance tthey have of taking the SG down. Once a spy is in the air they are mine (particularly funny when they never hit the ground again)
However, when I play spy I hate that I'm just about to kill the flag carrier and my soldier shoots me off of him, and then fails to kill him. I also hate when your soldier shoots you off your feet when you have 3 health and you die on landing. Oh well, at least he's spy checking.
