That "aide" package is meant to deal with the liberal import of cheaper wheat/corn/steel/goods. Tariffs are added to these sometimes but "aide" can be needed"

So here is what really happened. The republicans gave the farmers "aide". And then the liberals gave them a tax credit because they were below X income and increased the income tax for the uper 1% by another 25% to cover the loss.
