I tried to play a couple of demos and I got the message that I am missing RIFF/WAVE chunks. I have watched demos before and have never gotten this. Any ideas?

did you type in
playdemo xxxx.dem ?
i think you'll get that error message if you only typed in play xxx.dem |

| You're right, you get that error when you just type 'play xxxx'. Also you don't have to add the extension to the demo name. So remember type playdemo [demoname] |

Yeah I used to get that too by typing
"play xx.dem"
it will work if you instead type
"playdemo xx" (no .dem) |
