Even after sending the files to my gfx/env folder in my TFC folder, I am still having the sky bug. I have tired it several times, tried both spy packs (the fix and the spacedout fix) and none of them have worked. Any help woud be apprecialted, I am tired of looking like the game is taking place in a box.
Further info if needed:
running in d3d mode
have a diamond viper v330 4 meg agp card (if you know of a good AGP 1.0 card tell me)
got the patch from theville _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

Borg, you got the .tga files that Albino posted? I attached them to the Chicken VS Kilaaks post just above the roster. Are you sure you put them in your tfc/gfx/env folder? Stupid question I know but just making sure.
Beyond that, it may be your d3d setting. The new patch messed all those files up and it may be having issues with that setting. hmmmm.. stupid Valve! bad bad bad |

It is the d3d settings. I tried to open up an opengl game, and the sky was correct, but it locked up into a loop of sound. That is the reason I switched to d3d anyhow, it didn't lock up, if someone could help me fix either of the problems, please post. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. What resolution are you running at?
Before the patch I ran OpenGL @ 1280x1024
After the patch that would crash my computer.
Now I'm running OpenGL @ 1024x768 and it's running just fine. |

I have the same problem. The Sky is crap with D3D but looks good with OpenGL. The problem? Same as yours it crashes when it runs in OpenGL mode. _________________

Could you post some system specs so we can see if you have anything in common with me. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

When I put the skies patch into the tfc/gfx/env folder, should I put the whole patch folder into it, or just all the files from it?
I also have been having problems with my display since I got the patch. I used to have it set at 1024 by 768, but since I got the patch it reverted to 800 by 600 and won't go back. Is there anyway I can get it to go back to 1024 by 768? I like that setting better. _________________ Amen!

I am having the same problem. I applied the fix, and even though the colors are right, I am still inside a cube! I haven't tried OpenGL yet, but I will and will report back. I am using an GeForce4 MX 440, PIII 600Mhz, 256MB RAM, d3d @ 1024 x 768.
Opinion on latest patch => If it ain't broke... don't fix it!
Since, this is my first post... Howdy from sunny Florida! |

Great another failed attempt at fitting in from the Kilaaks! Is it just me, or is that a dead link? _________________ Amen!
