Private server

Where ya'll at?

How come the private server, and, morso the grudge server are so desolate? There is very rarly anyone at the private server, and it's never more than 7-8 people on a popular day. It's usally the same 7-8 people too.

I personally find Avanti with regulars alone is so much better than a handful of regulars and a bunch of other peoples. Wrath is a kick ass map, too. Well. The first round is. Don't like the second so much. Goes by to fast.

More peoples should show up! Try it out anyway. Trust me, it's great fun when it's all people you are familiar with, and not just random people. At least, i think so. And remember, most peoples mentallity is that if noone is there, noone will show up, so -you- have to be the one to go first, and let others come to you. Yes, that's right, -you-. And you and you and you.

Additionally, Is the grudge server ever going back to the duel/jumpy jumpy server from murderball? I miss having a place to go to Jump/beat the pants off of someone every so often. And the mapvotes only work once in a blue moon, for some reason.

oh yeah, i forgot all about those jumpity maps.... I'll put one on tomorrow (or today.. sunday). What was the latest consensus on a conc map anyways? Lemme know and I'll put that up. TIA

Tayconc is Always nice for general skills. 58thv2 is a little better for specializing, and has some battle maps too. I've heard nice things about Concmap_R or something, but never played it.

And you of course can't beat mulch DM for sparing.

DLed it. Tried it. It's wierd. I stopped halfway through the third jump. Like, i like how it is, but, you will -never- use those skills in game.

But if you can get those down, you'll probably be a master at regular conc/double concs. Put it on if you'd like, certianly give all those people who can beat tayconc with a soccer ball using one hand with thier eyes closed something to do.

I recommend tayconc2 and concmap3. I agree you don't use most the jumps in those maps, but they're still fun anyway. Tayconc is a good map for beginners and match-type concing; I can't think of a jump in that map you can't use in a real map.

I'd like to see mulch_trench and Oppose2K1 on one of the servers, or maybe some other STA league maps. They're really cool, and IMHO more fun than most of the Valve maps. Plus, most of them have a huge open area in the middle of the bases that are perfect for concing over and around.
