I have now d/l the entire 80M file, blown out the old HL install, and re-installed everything to get to....
The same frigging place.
I have no sound inside TFC (the little clicks when you select a menu option.) AND it blows me completely out of TFC when I try and join a game.
I can't believe that no one out there has any ideas to try and get this working. Please, please, help me out.
I don't know if I will be able to survive not playing from work.
And I haven't had time to try the install on my home machine. Hopefully I won't run into the same problems........ _________________

What kind of hardware do you have? After I installed the 1106 patch TFC crashed everytime I launched into a Multiplayer game. I finally stepped through everything one by one until disabling my sound card worked. I had a Creative Labs Live Platinum. After installing new drivers TFC functioned correctly. I've known others that have hardware issues after a new patch. Do you have currently drivers for you hardware? |

Ya, I was looking thru the planetfortress forums and a few others are having the same prob as you. I think there is a line somewhere in your config that will make you TFC play without sound. Or you can go into your device manager and disable your sound card. BTW, what sound card are you using? |

Will have to check into this.
It would make sense, w/ no sound, that there could be a problem w/ the
drivers. _________________
