One on One

Something on one of the other threads reminded me of something I wanted to ask...

A couple weeks ago I played pretty late on IV. People left and it was just me and one other guy. He suggested we see who could cap the most for the next map. Badlands started up, and I picked Medic. He picked Demo.

We had a fun time! I thought it would be stupid, but I was surprised. I would try to infect him and conc my way to a quick cap, and he would lay traps for me on his flag, and wait for the "The enemy has your flag!" to blow them.

We developed tactics as the game went along, and both of us capped a bunch. I think it was clear toward the end that the medic had a little bit of advantage, but it was pretty evenly matched for a while.

Has anyone else played a one-on-one game like this (other than Mulch) that pitted two different classes against each other that were pretty evenly matched?

I would like to try this some more. This would be fun for LAN games with my friends too...

Yea I've done with before. Me Medic him Engi on warpath, it wasn't very interesting. He wasn't very good.

I've done 2 on 6 on a clan server that wanted me to join but only ran 2fort... and I must say it was quite fun being on the 2 team trying to cap on avanti(I asked the admin to change the map to it >

I did 2 v 8 once and humiliated the other team on Casbah. I ended up about 250 and 4 by the end I'd capped so many times. It was me (medic) and and another medic versus a bunch of different classes. It's fun when the pressure is on and you're doing well. I've also had matches go the other way though...Those aren't as much fun.

I went one on one with each of us snipers, and I got killed a lot, and sometimes I would be frustrated by this but at least I got some kills in.
