You gotta include me, what Ville experiance would be complete without me

I was thinking about map ideas recently before I read this, but I have no Idea world-craft works and don't have the time to figure it out. But I had this idea for a VIP role in a map. A guy(or 2) one for either team set as the VIP who spawns in a control tower/room area and gets to crontrol things like boobytraps and gates to help his team and hinder the other team. I dunno if that'd be possible, It was easier in duke3D with the monitors you could look through to monitor the level and squish people with the ceiling when they went into some area.

I will say this. . .WOW! I bit off more than I can chew! This is really tough. We have abandoned the idea of a completely new map. We are instead taking bits and peices of other maps. I think it will work out fine in the end. I have a new respect for GreeNbo and Cstone!

Since I'm on my Spring Break now and because I thrive off my computer, I have given Worldcraft a shot. It's pretty cool and the I can understand the very basics. The only problem (so far) is that I'm too STUPID to use the tutorial for the advanced things in Worldcraft. Any sites that make it easier to understand or even just word it differently?

Recently in the HLDS mailing list, someone asked if it was possible for a map to execute a command on the client computer for the purpose of changing servers.

This got me thinking about how cool it would be to have a single map with "portals" to all of the ville servers. You would just walk through a door and HL would load up that server. I was gonna try and do this, but I couldn't find any entities that will execute a client (or server) command from the map itself.

If anyone knows of such a method, please let me know
