Yeah, that story is awful. I just read about it on CNN. What a despicable person.
But as for her lawyer, you have to remember. If she didn't get a good and vigorous defense, her conviction would mean nothing. You have to respect someone that takes on a case like this knowing they probably feel the same way you do, and fight for them anyway. If they didn't, we wouldn't have any semblance of a fair legal system. Not that its perfect, but it couldn't be fair unless people like that guy take those cases.
I'm sure glad I don't have to do it. I couldn't stomach hearing any excuses from someone who could a guy die in her garage still stuck to her freakin car. She didn't even clean up the car!! Ugh.
The other amazing thing about this case is the dead guy's son. He's in high school, I think, and says he is praying for her. Sounds like he forgives her. Boy, I sure couldn't.
