Yep I throw some stuff around too. I normaly take a poll before I do it though. Like the other day I took a poll for low grav. The vote won so so be it. But only 1 once and a while. To much fun could turn into no fun at all . LONG LIVE THE SPEAK WHISKEY. Those who dident want the low grav sorry for the time that was spent aginst what you wanted but I tryed to give everyone some of everything. Half of the game was low half was reg. Cant get much more of fair attitude

The low gravity was a blast. Never seen it done on TV1 before. Was kinda a cool change. Sniping was quite interesting. Avanti/Turkeyburger mix..heh

On a more serious note:
Frag is not the only long time player here to notice this new trend toward complaining. One of the main reason's, heck, THE main reason this server became great is because of the quality of person that played here. Frag and the players like him were the reason that I settled here that long time ago.
Now to hear him say that he's not enjoying playing here, that alarms me. It would be a sad day to lose some of the great people that we have here. Frag, Silver, Bada... to many to mention, really.
Some of you newer folks, take my word. If we lose these guys, this server will not be nearly as fun.
So let's heed the words from the soapbox and try to have a little FUN, when we play this GAME, and maybe avoid some of the complaints.
'K?

I know who that was that never heard of silver, *cough* me *cough* and that makes me a llama that should be yelled at? I've been here for longer than more than half the current regulars and the fact that I dont know one person... ??

I too agree with frag, I'm not refusing that, this is a freakin game not life-or-death-matters, and hell, its all for fun so I think people should take it less seriously. All I'm saying is that (*goldom is about to ruin his chance of ever getting into tvb in 3.. 2.. 1..*) maybe you should step back yourself a minute, and look around. When, seriously, when was the last time there was a llama on this server that wasn't just a random wanderer? When have you had a serious problem with someone who is here a lot?

Not to flog a dead and swollen horse, but take the TVB-h situation as an example. Now, right off, I'll admit that there were some people who took it too far and neglected their teams just for the kills. I'll even admit to somewhat doing this myself for a couple minutes till I thought, "am i really worthy of my tpf tag if i do this?"

So in spirit of team play and fun, I removed my tvb-h, and do not go any out of my way to kill tvb. I think thats about all I can do. Frag, you were the first to complain about tvb-h as far as I know, and I'll give you credit, not unjustifiedly. People were being total asses about it. But even after our total insisting that is was all just fun, just a game, nothing evil or that we really want to hunt anyone or anything, you said it was too much. Personally, I think you're taking it a bit seriously yourself.

Again, no one is flawless, hey I wont go so far as say I've never been an occasional llama about something, but, on a regular basis, do I break the rules? no... do I swear and discriminate people, no. Do I, ME, insult anyone?? well, I don't know. If not knowing someone is an insult, then well damn i'm guilty.

Sometimes when your really into the game and you really want to get 3 and then the gravity goes it is really disturbing. Other times its a welcome relief. No one is going to be in the same frame of mind at the same time. Jd has done this to me. Not that he did anything bad I was just not ready for it at that time. So I did what everyone should do I wore him out sniping me! Yeah he sniped me about a hundred and fifty times until his barrel gave out! Did I whine, maybe. Did Jd put the gravity back? Maybe. Just remember give the guys who are into the game a chance to get over there shock and get with the antics. If they cant hang well there is always BR's and PWG's to go to.

I like the Ville and it's many servers and I may not know everyone but I can always find a great game to join. DOD or many different TFC maps.

I agree roof, fun mode is a lot more commen with so many new admins, and hey guess what thats why they call it FUN MODE not SHITTY MODE! However, having it on every single time i log in does get kinda old...

And what the heck is with matrix jumping. low grav i can stand. That stuff is just gwarrrk though, its like i try to jump forward and it slams me against the wall behind me killing me.

And I still wanna know why it wont recognise glow rainbow or glow police ive seen those on other places.

On a random note, I think during fun mode (not always it does get annoying ) you should bring back the UT voices! Goldom is on a killing spree!

Anyway, I have two words for you:

HAVE FUN CAUSE ITS CALLED FUN MODEE AND THEN TEACH ME HOW TO COUNT WORDS!

Watch your head Frag... (* Swipes the soap box from under his feet*)

I guess it boils down to Big City Livin' vs the Amish Lifestyle! Pros and cons in both.

Yes, TheVille has grown tremendously in size. The small community of regular players it used to host has expanded almost into a metropolis. These are all growing pains with no Tylenol. Do I get nostalgic about what we used to have and the regulars that were always on the game servers? Yep. But also, try to remember that feeling when you finally DO see an old regular whom you haven't fragged for a while. Sometimes those moments become more valuable than all the times you've killed each together. (that sounded a little psycho...)

I think the role of The Ville has gone beyond hosting a game. Where else can we find such a receptive group of people from all walks of life spanning different continents congregating in the forums and in-game? Where else can we learn to appreciate English humor and Swedish grammar? (lemme throw in Minnesotaon grammar in as well!)

Although TFC has brought all of us together to game, it's TheVille that brings us all together in mutual respect as friends. I might not have met any of you personally...yet, but then again, many meaningful friendships have developed through penning out honest thoughts and opinions without reservation. I know I've met many more sincere people on the forums than I have in real life.

There is a saying... "To find out a person's true personality, engage him in a game" Although TFC isn't exactly golf, a person's character still shows through in-game. The cheater, the teamplayer, the leader, the follower, the trash-talker with no skill... etc. We might form our opinions of each other in-game. But we formalize our understanding and appreciation of each other's differences in the forums.

Man!! I'm an incessant rambler with a lost point!! (and disjointed logic sometimes). Been a long day at the office. sorry.

Rambling or not, lost point or not, that's the best thing I've read in a long time, Munkey my friend.

I.. I.. I love you, man!
