in regards to quickswitching:

it's not reload time, it's the rate of fire. it doesn't help an unzoomed rifle in any way at all, just zoomed rifles cuz it helps get out of the zoom fast plus it's a smart choice to switch to pistol after you fire your shot(sniper). and the exploit is not really an exploit rather than a bug. it sets you into zoom mode with a sniper rifle yet you can move at the same rate of speed as if you were unzoomed with the accuracy of a zoom(or at least damn near close to it). and it's more of a disadvantage than anything but can be very helpful in some situations. even so i rarely have it happen to me and when it does happen i usually find a corner to hide in till i can fix it. the quickswitch thing has been like that for a long time(brought over from CS) and has been fixed for a long time as well, like i said, only advantage is with a sniper rifle. unless of course you take account the slow rate of fire with a rifle, then it is also smart to quickswitch to pistol if you missed.

i just do it as a force of habbit with a bolt action rifle. i played cs alot before i started playing dod. and so i was fond of the awp, and when i switched to dod, i used quickswitching not only for sniper rifles but also for the k98 and einfield.

It doesn't change the RoF with a sniper rifle either. It does help you not go back into zoom, but you can do that other ways, like sprinting.

Another tip: If you are shooting at someone crouched, aim at their upper chest, lower neck for a head shot. The DoD hitboxes for the head are lower than what you see when people are crouched.

If it works, it's an exploit. This thread is for legal tricks....

It doesn't work. When you quickswitch to another weapon, then switch back it doesn't draw the animation, but the time is still there.

Well that's not exactly how shuya explained it. There's more to it than simply switching weapons, which is why I say it's an exploit that was not intended in the game.

Here's a new trick: Shoot the enemies before they kill you.
