no, your connection is just bad. You can stop games from updating, it's not steam's fault.

Yeah Steam will do that sometimes. You can pause updates in the games list while you play. If you see dots over the Steam logo, then it is downloading something.

| you should know by now... automatic just means that it's harder to fix. auto this or auto that just means that there's more to go wrong. keep it simple |

Maby you should try being nice to people too instead of making smart ass sarcastic remarks back to people who try to help you. Every thing i said was true. Your connection is bad becasue you can't download something and play a game at the same time. It's also not steam's fault that you left your games updating/ left auto update on, yet you still blamed it on steam. I was actually helping you by telling you that you can turn off auto updating, but you decided to be a jerk about it and flame me.
