Welcome to the forums.

I play mainly bass guitar, I have a 4-string and a 6-string, but I also play guitar from time to time.
I listen to mostly death metal and some black metal, stuff like that. lately I have been listening to: Origin, Between the Buried and Me, Krisiun, Gorgoroth, Cryptopsy, Vomit Remnants, Rotten Sound, and some bands that have names I can't put on these forums.

Looks like we have quite a few metal lovers here, which makes me happy. For all you guys, i'd appreciate it if you checked out my brother's band, Shatterpoint. They are from Toronto, playing shows most weekends here, they just signed with PowerPlay Records, I think their pretty good.

Umm...I play Piano's, the real stuff. lol. Unlike you rockers and keyboard players, I was raised taking Piano and Cello and a bunch of other stuff lessons. Got 10 years of piano under my belt, and thats just lessons, and I took 8 years of cello lessons plus played in a Symphony. I was supposed to go to University for Cello Performance but I broke my arm and have many problems with it now. I had to sell my piano cuz I moved, and I dont play cello much now, so I kinda suck again, lol.

Now onto the bands I listen to. New favorite band is Wolfmother. New band, lots of hype about them, and I like em a lot. Good example of modern rock.

Other bands include Modest Mouse, BNL, Iron Maiden, The Strokes, The Streets, Richard Cheese, Atreyu, Panic At The Disco, Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave(probably my fav), Ray Charles, Stephen Lynch, The Tea Party, and I'm sure theres tons of others. I listen to pretty much everything. I just don't have full cd's of everything, lol.

The only instrument I ever took time to learn how to play was the flute. I started playing it in 5th grade for the school band, but quit before my freshman year of high school. Sooo, that would be about 4 years of active practice. I still play it from time to time, learning how to play some of my favorite songs. The only other instrument I can think of are my vocals. I had 2 and a half years of pure voice lessons, but dropped them when my teacher decided to make them more expensive (bastard). From then on, I kept singing in school musicals. I did audition and made it into my high school choir two years in a row, but it never fit my class schedule. *Shrugs* oh well, I still love to sing though.

Music-wise, my taste varies a lot. I go from listening to classical music, to smooth jazz, to classic rock, to heavy metal, and (rarely) to death metal.
