I have been playin for 2 years now...I still feel like a nOob compared to alot o you guys and gals.
I start out playin' on 56k so it really sucked (not for me..I was running around killin' peeps...warping everywhere )
I started out on a server called Europa and had alot of fun playin' with the folks on there....Frosty use to play that one too. But at the same time when Europa was full...I would go to the Ville servers. I joined a clan called [PLA] and we did a few matches in Cal-O, won a few, got our butts handed to us quite abit though....and now I am here at THE VILLE ..and lovin' it. Thanks for the good times all !!!!!!!!

lets see.. its been about 2 years now i think, maybe a little longer. i found it through a friend (i had never even played half-life before, but he knew i liked WWII games) -- i was hooked instantly. i tried half-life, counterstrike, and day of defeat at the same time, but i only really got into day of defeat.
since then i've tried to be as active as i could in the day of defeat community. i started my clan experience with [I AM] after playing heavily on their servers for a few months. i was on their UGL-O and UGL-M teams, as well as an extra for CAL matches. about that time i got into the mapping community, made a few really bad maps that never got released, then spent about 6 months on my first released map dod_veghel. i left the [I AM] clan sometime around then becaue i couldn't afford to pay them every month and just went server hopping. i settled on the 173rd server for awhile, joined the clan and spent most of my time on their for a few months. then school started getting in the way with playing and i was hardly ever able to play. i finally ended up leaving the clan and took a long break from DoD (about 7 months) -- however, during my time off i worked on another map, dod_strom, which was highly overshadowed by the release of source.
more server hopping has led me here. i could never get into dod:source, so im still playing 1.3. ill probably convert veghel to source sometime if i ever have the time. |
