yes if evryone was like you the ville would be a better place, but the vast majority of us want to be in the top 10, (lol i'd better be right in this assumption) why? because it feels good. I know we cant achieve perfect, but by voting i think we can make it better, or if there is no chance of changin anything in the stats, someone should say something so that we can get rid of this topic

i was the one that started the post cause i didnt understand how the ranking system worked. now i understand but have realized that i dont care about the rankings. i know how good i am and i dont need some list to tell me how good i am

I don't think we'll be getting rid of stats anytime soon. Stats serve its own purpose and has its own audience who check it faithfully each time they game at The Ville. That's right, it becomes a powerful and addictive tool that brings peeps back night after night who attempt to get higher up the ladder. Nothing wrong with that at all, especially since I believe the stats are constantly refined to try to give more weight towards capping and defending the flags, and other team-related events, which is essentially how each side wins the match.
Tiju has a good point too! After playing on the servers for a while, regulars will know who you are, regardless of your rankings. They'll know that you're a good teamplayer, by either sacrificing yourself so that the team can move forward, or simply by being friendly and making the game so much more enjoyable. The stats can't capture all these intangibles, but the real peeps behind the keyboards do, and believe me, I'm sure they know and appreciate you just for that! 
I think the good test of your worth is being Player of The Month! They may not be the highest ranked, but we love them anyway!!
Sooo... an analogy to end this debate perhaps? I'm a McNugget guy and you might be a Big Maccer, but hey! we all game and enjoy our Happy Meals at The Ville!! |
