TV to go DOD:S??

welp with all the preload and excitement about Day of Defeat: Source, I was wondering what exactly TheVille.org plans to do. Will it convert all DOD servers to source? Is there an expected date(September 26th) to be up and running with Source??

I am aware that there are no admin modifications for DOD:S as of yet, so that all management of servers will have to be done by RCON. I guess you hard werkin admins will have to do it the old fashioned way... gah i remember those daze...

anywho, I look foward to the first time I get to frag someone in WWII style with the Source engine, and I really hope its on a ville server! Peace yall and see yas around...

wasnt there was talk about changing one fo the servers to DOD:S and leaving all the other ones for now on dod1.6? i think squirrel told me that!!!

The admins have been discussing the various options and we will have a Source server up fairly quickly, I dont know which of our servers will become a source server but it will be one of the 3. Once we see the interest and deal with the admin issues that it will present we will most likely add another source server and then decide what to do with the rest of the servers after that.

Yeah what JD said....there will be for sure a DOD regular server to appease the people whose machines cannot handle source or who merely do not want to go to source. Though depending on the popularity of source will play a huge factor on how fast other servers will be converted to DOD source.

Actually there are admin tools already for source.

The one talked about the most for source is called mani. The developer said once dod source is released they will release the dod version of mani.

So we are good there.

Sweet, well I finally broke down and bought a new GFX card and HL2 Silver just to play DoD, since my classes are done now, hopefully ill be sucked back in and more active around here.
