|
|
I know it's been posted before but I figured I would start a fresh thread for this.
The past few weeks my Mozilla has slowed to a snails pace. There are times where the connection is even refused to the Ville yet everything works fine with IE.
The question I have is what do I need to do to correct this?? It has become more of a hastle to use it so I haven't been using it lately. Any help is appreciated.
Also if there are fixes for this it would be helpful if they were step by step as I am not at all familiar with this program _________________

Wow I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. _________________

I followed the directions that were on the link above and they did work.
here is a copy paste.
I dont know if they will do anything for the refused connection here but the websites load better now!!!!
Yes, you can optimize Mozilla, Netscape 7.x and Firefox for broadband Internet connections. Add or edit the following preferences by typing about:config in your browser's address bar (where you would normally type a web address):
network.http.max-connections 32
network.http.max-connections-per-server 8
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 8
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 4
network.http.pipelining true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests 8
To edit a preference, type "network" into the Filter field. Then, right-click on the respective preference and select Modify from the context menu.
Changing these preferences will speed up your surfing noticeably, especially on pages with many images or if you are simultaneously loading multiple pages. _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |
