yes on both counts.

I sat watching it hoping that what I was seeing was "overly dramatic" compared to what actually happened, but what little research I've done shows me that if anything it was probably a rather "nice" portrayal compared to the realities..

I just can't imagine.....

Yes, very accurate and very true. Unfortunately, the Western world (as well as many other countries) decided not to get involved in Rwanda... Its sad when you consider that through our inaction others suffer in life... Sadly, in many ways the things that the Western world have gone through in the past couple of years can be seen as being justly deserved when considering certain historical instances...

That's true to a point, and I'm not trying to start a political debate here, so please don't take it that way.....but...what do we get when we DO go do something to help out people?

We get bashed in the world press, we get accused of "empire building", etc...

I'm all for saying "screw the press" and doing what's right for the sake of it being right, but there's also only so much hate I'm willing to take before I'm ready to tell the world "fine, do it yourself" and bow out.....

It just bothers me that when we don't do anything we get accused of being the bad guy and when we do take action we're the evil giant stomping on the little people.

bah...I'm just tired of that stuff.....we're the first place anyone calls when they need help, and we're there...we give the most money, infrastructure support, etc....yet we're always accused of some evil alterior motive....damned if we do...damned if we don't.

It just bugs me.
