6 on the other hand, that can help some. Anymore than that and
the maps get slow and boring.

If there were 26 slots available, I'm sure 1 more person could make a difference. If there were 6 slots available, I'm sure 1 more person could make a difference. 1 more person could always make a difference no matter how many people are allowed. I think that's pretty much common sense. Although, I honestly do not think 1 more slot would have a constant, enormous impact on the server as far as gameplay goes. Lag has far more impact on every player's gameplay than a sinlge player slot does.

It's only temporary from what Murph says anyway. To me, I'd rather have 24 people and little lag than have 26 people and mad lag. I think it's a fair trade for the time being.

I'd like to see theville servers go to just 20 or 21 player slots, the 21st being an admin slot. I just hate having half my deaths be from random unprimed nades thrown.

The server just went to dod_flash and was full on donner, i checked how many were in the server right after I left and it was 14/24. Now 10 minutes later it is 16/24. Maybe remove flash for a different map?
