read the first news post, the server's HD broke so 3 months of accounts and posts were lost

As said we had a nasty server crash and the backup that they were able to recover from was from September. Better 3 months gone than 3 years gone.
I'm sorry that your posts and account were lost, but look at the bright side, now you can repeat yourself and nobody will be the wiser
