The first thing you can do is not type in all caps. The second thing is to ask what operating system do you have?

As they said, list your specs.

However, I can think of some things off the top of my head:
1) You need more ram.
2) You have a bad stick of ram.
3) Your harddrive is low on memory.
4) You have too many programs running at once or one big one sucking up most of your memory.
5) Your harddrive sucks and is absorbing all your memory, even while you're not doing anything (actually happened to me). Try defragging it, reformatting it, or replacing it as a last idea.

Try switching off the automatic virtual memory option, and changing it to the same minimum and maximum. 2½ times the your RAM might work well.

If ever you format your computer, set aside a separate partition just for page file (make the partition twice the size of your intended VM size, because Windows sucks and fragments the page file if you don't).

If you have two hard disks installed, use page file on both (but not on different partitions of the same physical drive).

This is the only thing that has caused a memory problem with me, besides my age.
