Only join if you want to further the theville community and want to have fun. Skill isn't the priority here. My concern is being too big. I don't want to have 25 members in the first week. I'm a frequent 'Viller and an avid spy hunter. I play sniper, engie, and am having quite a bit of fun spamming with the demo lately.

I prefer 6 foot blondes with green eyes, no smoking/drugs and... wait this probably isnt nescessry here.

Ok Peeps,
This seems on the surface as a good idea... However, I'd just like to point out that we already HAVE a community of very good people and players, whose numbers are well above 25. Alot of them do not belong to clans for one reason or another, maybe simply because they are "new", their ping times are considered to be too high to join a clan.. the reasons go on..

Many of us "noobies" to the ville who are regulars are likey to be left out of this clan because:
1)They are NEW(ish)
2)You don't consider them good enough, which will totally go against the concept of "FUN"
etc...
3)NOT don't having ICQ - I have no intention of getting ICQ and I wonder exactly why its a pre-requisit for a FUN clan, surely email and simply being on the ville would suffice

I applaud Thom Yorke Obliterator for his comments about keeping this fair and making sure that us "Noobies" are NOT left out or made to be "inferior" because the new "FUN" clan is inevitably going to end up being made up of the best players who frequent the ville.

Finally, I'm not trying to criticize anyone here, especially you frag. I personnally found it very difficault to play last night after everything that has happened these last couple of days. I'm not an American, I'm English, though I have made my home here in the States, I love the people and the country where I now live. Whether you are American, British, Canadian, etc, we are all in this together, to fight the Terrorist Bastards, I'd like to see the new clan reflect this solidarity, regardless of race and ability and not to become another elitest clan where only the best get asked to join.

Apache part of the reason I am starting this is because of what happened in NY. We need to appreciate each other and have fun while we are all on the ville. That's why we come here. Also I had a very hard time playing tuesday night. I came on more or less to see if everyone was ok. Again, I'm looking for ville regulars, not talent level and having not any aspirations of being LeEt clan. Some may not make the first cut, there should eventually be enough room though. This clan is to be inclusive, not exclusive everyone. The most important thing is to have fun on the ville. I am treating this clan like being a member of TPF. The only difference is showing support for the ville in joining.

Erba relax, you guys were still trying to recruit me even three weeks ago. PWG will stil be around as it is now. I'm not bigger than PWG, I was just 1 of 40. There are a lot of great people in PWG and they will still be the great clan they are now.

I think it would be great if NSA could merge with the 'new clan'. The lack of communication with NSA is really the pits and the promise of no more recruits didn't last long. I really like Maian and a select few NSA but some of them are not about team play and having fun.

What do you think Maian and Frag?

Frag, I hate to say this, but this sounds like a REALLLLLLLLLY bad idea if it goes the way it looks it will. You know better than I what happens if a clan grows too quickly, and this looks to do just that. I know there are plenty of good players around waiting to hop aboard, but of all the things to do, why this? You know how effective smaller clans are, so why not use this to your advantage and form a band of players on the same plane in terms of overall skill (including team and individual). I'm trying to do this and it works very well. As for those of you who don't have icq or aim or whatever, my clan may set up a server, and if possible I could train some of you guys and help you hone your skills (Or I could change my name to Vorn the Unspeakable and play mulch and murder everyone all day)

The difference is that this is a for fun clan. If people are joining with expectations of being elite and planning for league play, then they joined the wrong clan. I want crowbar nights, fun on the ville, killing john doe[eh?] numerous times over, and just promoting the server itself. The people I want are the ones who primarily play here and don't have the time to get more serious. The last thing you want is to turn fun into a commitment.

The history of the ville shows that there have been a few superclans. There are some differences.

PWG - started for fun, but now is much more serious and less visible than in the past on the ville.

NSA - started for a reason different to TVB. NSA was to be the counter to PWG because they were tired of the big, bad PWG smashing them. NSA is a ville only clan, but there was not much comraderie there. Once PWG kinda lessened, everyone kinda jumped ship. NSA was quickly thrown together, but not exactly organized for a clan trying to compete with PWG, it's not meant to be disrespectful of NSA in any shape or form.

I'm stressing comraderie in this. I don't want to hear anyone using the TVB name to think they are elite. There will be no OGL or clanbase. There will be no commitments. I want them to have the name to feel as a part of the ville community. In essence this is the ville's answer to TPF. The TVB will show the regulars support to Robert and the ville community.

And yes, 17 is much larger than I wanted to start with. I wanted 8-10. I didn't count on the admins overwhelmingly positive repsonses. That's another thing that makes this something I think will be a fixture. Plus the people I have selected I know want to play for fun. If anyone is unhappy in TVB and leaves, there are probably 10 more wanting to jump in by the responses I get.

Lastly, I have no interest in leagues and this is my home server. This is where I enjoy playing. So this type of clan makes sense to me.

I was feeling like we are already a pretty tight community and we all communicated in the forums and in game. Having crowbar fights and other fun things were posted on the main board and enjoyed by as many as cared to join.
I hope when you guys get started and the fun things are planned they still get posted for the rest of us to have a chance to play.
All I can say is some of the people on the list are the people that I personally have the most fun with and will greatly miss playing with them during special events.
Even with a new tag on your moniker I'll still know who you are cause your a regular and we've spent time together. Please don't take this wrong as far as all you go, I just am worried that the posts for fun stuff will go private. see ya in game
