Trying to format a PC but, for some reason when it's at the copying files part, it locks up at 28%, on the "copying data.cab" part. CD is clean, no scratches, tried it in CD/DVD drives.
any ideas? |

Are you sure it's locking up?? It may be just taking a break. When you formatted did you format then load the disk in the drive or format using the disk??

| lol, it was overheating, we stuck a huge ass fan blowing inside it and it runs like a dream. My only question now is, what should i do lol. I need to cool my PC down obviously, so, like what should i get. |

Talk to chief about it he has had major overheating problems....i swear his computer has a furnace in it

eh it wasnt actually overheating. but yeah my old system was like a heater. would sometimes be cold in the morning so i turn on my comp to heat up my room

Are you trying to overclock it or something?? I don't understand why it would all of a sudden be overheating.
When I built my new machine cooling was a must. I have 2 120mm fans in my case. Those fans move a ton of air thru the case to help keep it cool. My power supply also has 2 fans in it. The hottest I have ever had it running is 44c.

computer stats?
what heatsink/fan are you using?
is it on correctly?
are you using anything like artic silver?
have you taken off the heatsink and not changed the heatsink material?
those questions should be good for a start.
