I've been to that monument park near the shipping channel. Nice touch. So's the USS Texas BB35(?) site.

Yes you are correct....Battleship Texas BB35. I've visited there several times in my time. She served her service throughout many wars. She was the United States 1st battleship being commisioned 1 month before the Maine.
