I've always kind of disliked the whole 420 stuff. If I see one more moronic tattoo w/ 420 in it... or even written w/ marker on a backpack, I will puke. Most people don't even know what 420 means.
There are many rumors as to how the phrase came into being.... one being that it's to celebrate Hitler's Bday-- altho I doubt people would smoke herb to celebrate that. The most probable way the phrase was coined though is that a group of kids would meet after school (in CA), at 4:20 to smoke some green... and the 420 thing just spread.
Now, as a regular herb smoker, I'll definately be toking today... but I still think it's all kinda stupid.

Also, before I get attacked for openly being a pot smoker, I just want to say that I am definately not proud of it. I'll be quitting pretty soon. It's not good on the lungs, or the brain

Actually I would be one of those people that had no idea what the hell it meant. Thx for the enlightenment. As for your burnin the herb, to each their own. I've never tried it myself. I have enough bad habits as it is.
