i ahh don't think its any of the settings because a while ago they were all set fine.
but the past few tiems i tried to play i've gotten horrible pings. like 300+ and i'm on a cable modem. i thought it coudl be the wireless card. but everything else runs fine and ping tests i've done show me in the 50-100 rang for most everywhere in the US. so then.... i did a tracert on city 17's ip.... and as it turns out i'm gonna cry.
if you'll notcie hop #12 and the later.  i sure wish there was a way to fix that.

Bah...my stupid isp, charter doesn't seem to allow me traceroute. Just wanted to see how many hops I had since rio is local to me.
Looks like you go downhill at some router in Sacramento. I'm not really a network guy so I won't be much help, but 17 hops seems kind of high to me.
edit: How many hops/what's our ping to east coast/midwest ville servers? |

I can do tracerts with charter, I get about 12 with a 60 ping.  |

i'm gonna sue the 3rd column info for the ping sicne i'm nto quite sure which it is, lol
( i';m bored ok)
avantiville 15 hops 78 ms
1 21 hops 47 ms
2 15 hops 62 ms
3 15 hops 54 ms
4 17 hops 58 ms
5 15 hops 51ms
6 17 hops 250-350ms
7 request timede out??? around hop 21
8 17 hops 253ms ( sacramento again? POS6-0.GW5.SAC1.ALTER.NET [152.63.52.153])
9 16 hops 22ms
10 same ip as server 11?
11 17 hops 231 ms ( sacramento!!!!)
and from now on i ahte sacramento

You should not be going thru Sacramento to get to avantiville. If I am not mistaken then avantiville in is Texas
