Do a search for Fung Wan Online. It's supposed to be alright, with little lag as far as free mmorpg's go.

If you're patient, and into this sort of thing, World of Warcraft is in beta testing and might be out later this year.

at Blizzard.com of course.

They have a new ultra slick cinematic preview that makes Final Fantasy quality animation look passe. www.blizzard.com/wow/movies/cinematics.shtml

That is actually why I am asking, since WoW will(after beta is done) probably be pay to play. But I am hoping that I can have some luck and get in one of the beta phases.

Fung Wan Online was a good game from what i played of it. But it was a little hard to control but all in all great gfx. Another free game i have found is Planshift you can find it at www.planeshift.it. Its put out by some dev's that are doing it entirly for free and say you will never pay. Its in like what id say alpha phase. Lag city (low fps not lag lag) but it looks very promising and they are making a new release soon thats supposed to be muchos.

P.S. I play EQ right now, and I absolutely love it, quite possibly the most fun game i've ever played.

Planeshift looks like it would have potential, if they added more features like combat and quests. I was going to look into the other one mentioned sometime soon, but am still willing to take suggestions.

Fung Wan Online is alright, although there is a lot of walking around involved. The theme and character customization is cool. Also try Eve Online free for 10 days just to see if its your cup-o-tea.
