what program do u ude to play ur dem files...i wanna try to make some movies

You use the half life console. Simply bring down the conesole and type "viewdemo demoname.dem" without the quotations, and changing demoname with the name of your demo. You can also exchange viewdemo for playdemo, but you won't have player options (speed, rewind, fast forward, etc.)

I think you can turn it into a bunch of bmps so you can compile it and stuff.

You can make a bunch of bitmaps and compile them to video but its a long prosess, it takes lots of time and HD space. It sucks to be honest. Fraps works very well to capture fullscreen video.

you view them in hl, then you type "startmovie "filename" "fps to record bmp into". Then you edit what u think is poinless pictures that were made, then open up videomatch/ne video compiler. (long process)

YES, FRAPS DOES WORK, but you only get half size with the newest version and you have this crap on it, only use fraps if you dont want sound (use the 1.9d version) and just put some audio song ontop of it. Thats the easiest way to make it.
