The maptest went great tonight, Both maps were badass. BreakOut was played right after Wrath so alot of people missed it.
Greebo got a little crazy in Wrath and admin-killed all the Blue team because he was jelous of the Mapgod's Wrath and had to show that he could do it too.
I don't think too many people got lost in it either. Alot of the map was close quarters so I had a fun time sneaking up on people as HWG but makes for bad sniping spots except for on certain ledges overlooking the larger ares of the maps.
A cool detail some didn't get to take advantage of was the teleporter in the belltower. The defenders while defending were the only ones who could use it, but it sends you directly to the command point they have to take the "artifact" to. Another good sneak up on people and shoot em before they know what's going on feature of the map.
The other cool feature was the moveable oil barrels. You can push the barrels around and block doors and passage ways with them to slow the advancement of the other team. or use them as a shield, pushing them along and shooting from behind it.
I think everybody had a pretty good time, I know I sure did. I didn't think I'd be able to make it, but I did. I did pretty well too, in fact I'm ranked #1 in both Wrath and Breakout for kills. Imagine that.

Wrath was fun, I wish we had more people in it though. I think its a great map and as people play it and get familiar with how to play it and were to go I believe the battles will be as fast and furious as they are in Avanti.
Only advise I can give to you all is to not try to take your objective by yourself, go in as a mob and you can overpower the defenders. This applies to most any map, and of course it requires teamwork.

Yeah really good point, There is no way you can get the job done like a one man army. The map makes sure of this. If a mob is defending your objective, you better go in with a mob, if there's just one guy, you can probably get past him but his buddies will be on you soon. Its very unlikly you'll carry the flag all the way from point A to point B yourself.

The close quarter street fighting is just great the battles in the church with all the columns to hide and run aroud brings a lot of exciting moments trying to get in a shot.
3 exits out of respawn, multiple entry to church, being smacked by god for losing the relics and all the rest put it in a class all by itself.
I'm sorry I missed the end and than Breakout cause that is a fun map also. I really hope it gets put into rotation. or at least we have regular Wrath and Breakout nights. How about a crowbar Wrath night. LOL
Good playing with you

Sounds like the maptest was alot of fun. Sorry I missed it. Wrath has to be the most original TFC map I have ever played. It requires more team based tactics then most maps. I believe you need at least 8 ppl on each team to get the most fun from it. I look forward to playing this map all the time on TV 3.

YPAWOM,
I agree. We voted and played it twice last night. LilBigCip was using Barrels to block the lower doorways in the church. these seem to be the primary choke point unless u rocket/nade jump up to the second level and then come down into the back door. We had a lot of fun and KamiKaze was either sniping or building SGs somewhere up in the heavens in places no normal human could get 2. Id turn the corner and get lite up and still had trouble find the death from above! Good Job Kamikaze!
