What's everyone's opinion on dod_flash?

When i play on the ville I it seems when it goes to flash everyone doesnt like this map. Me personally i really hate it, its a snipe/camp fest and nothing more. I already wrote something to the complaint department but i just wanted to see how you guys feel about this map.

If you do want to change it with something else what map would that be?

for me: Caen

I don't mind the map much. I usually do fairly well on it. If I camp then I do terrible though.

Caen is another one that people usually complain on but I do fairly well at. It takes a little time but you can usually catch the other team sleeping and just mow em all down as you cap their flags. The most common complaint I hear about Caen is "I liked it better on 3.1".

I hear complaints on all the maps though. There is always a select few that don't like a particular map. All it takes is a couple/few aggressive people on a team to turn it around.

For some reason I enjoyed Flash more in 1.0...

Regardless, I don't mind the map but it is easily suseptible to being abused by team stacked full of long-rangers/campers/window campers. It's similar to the kind of stalemate that occurs in Caen (walk into the open and die) or Charlie (when 5 of 12 on your team are Allied snipers).

When one team entrenches itself, defends and refuses to move forward on an objective map - the fun factor plummets. I don't think that it's necessarily Flash that you don't enjoy, maybe it's just the way people play it.

I personally like the map...It's a lot of fun...and even if there are 8 snipers on the other team...it's still fun because it's a challenge trying think of ways to out smart them! MWAHAHA!!!

I agree with the fact that Flash is kinda gay but so are other maps. The fact is everyone has different opinions and as much as I like the great Villee admins (

) they cant satify everyone's requests. Although I must say that Caen is a great map to sub for Flash (hint hint

).

i really like flash. i never camp on that map(or any map) and have lots of fun. i usually have a decent score on it. i personally dont care for caen too much.

I like all the maps....I'm a non-discriminator.....I kill all! lol.....Oh yeah Flash is a great map (hint hint) But please BRING BACK MEREDET!!! Avalanche is getting to old....I don't like jumping in Avalanche....usually die before I hit the ground.

sry but i have to ask this which one is flash...just starting to get back into dod but all i can say is i really dont dislike/like any of the maps here inparticular over one and another i like them all to an extent tv has a good map rotation and so far i enjoy them all...wait there is one map i true hate dod_forest god i hate that map when tv 1 and 4 are full and the other server has forest on it i would rather play cs

but other than forest i really dont dislike any map

Flash is the one in a small village looking area with 5 flags, 3 in the streets and 2 off in small "fields" which would be the 2nd and 4th flags either way you look at it. Lots of houses surrounding the one single street, maybe you get the idea now.

I like flash, the nades can get a bit excessive especially when you play allies, but caen used to be one of my favorite maps a while ago (just started playing again not long ago) and I still love it, wish it was played more here.

I like flash because simply one man can turn the tide of battle in favor. I don't camp...i don't sit...i don't even live that long i run out there do what i can do to get the flags because i know the map is more than likely going to end with no one capping all the flags so all the capping you can do helps. Makes it feel like i am actually contributing than running up the score. I don't know i kinda like stalemates because it forces people to become creative. VIVA LA FLASH!!!!!
