				| When Steam tries to start I get the following error;
 Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 Structured Exception Error at 1002A8EB: Attempt to read from virtual address (buncha numbers) without appropriate access rights.

 Still getting it after reboot. Ever seen this (expletive deleted) error before?

				| right got some tips from elsewhere, not completely sure which bit helped:
 run unwise.exe in steam folder and choose 'repair'
 say 'no' if asked to replace newer file with older one
 finish
 delete 'clintregistry.blob'

 also firewalls may recognise that the prog has updated so need appropriate changes even though some dont ask for new permission. so you need to manually tell your firewall to allow steam to access the internet again.

 walla, worked for me. steam will reupdate and you will have to login again

 Unregistered
 juste delete the file ClientRegistry.blob in the steam folder, and restart steam.

 When it try to open Steam i get the error
 Steam.exe (main exception); Win32 StructuredException at 1002A83B ; attempt to read at virtual address 1684957559 without appropriate access rights.
 Can anybody help me?

 Deleting ClientRegistry.blob worked for me THX

				| Spank you Helpy Helperton.
 I nuked the blob. Seems to be running fine.

 Although I can not connect to Friends. Is that down again? Or do I have to delete the Son of the Blob?
