respawn question

I was just in a game of avanti, and I was on the attacking team as a demoman... so I ran directly to the church and blew the back entrance... someone told me not to attack respawn... my question: should I wait until 2 or 3 has been capped instead of doing it before that spot is defended?

Just to be sure, I tested this first.

Spawners will not be killed if you set a det on by the rear door to the church.

If you attack players when they are respawning your respawn camping.

But as far as I know the door is fair game.
Good luck though, usually your going to be swiss cheese if the other team is even half good.

I've done this numerous times. All you have to do is watch for people getting fragged. I've usually done it in steps and if you get back there before 1 is capped it is smooth sailing. I have a pattern I use that works 9 out of 10 times, once I've made it to the balcony. But good luck getting to the balcony

If you get caught near the NME respawn area, get out, don't shoot pipebombs etc since you might hit someone respawning. Once you've blown the hole leaveand don't shoot at anyone until you are away from the current respawn area. Other than that, it is pefectly legal on the Ville.

well, I attracted a LOT of attention... I think I had a sniper, an engie, and another demoman after me... I guess I wasn't sneaky enough... but I only shot pipes at people who were trying to chase me, ran up the to back door, just got the bomb set, then got killed... but hey, I got the church open right away

question: ok if your a demo and your attacking on avanti and right before your team caps the last point, you set a detpack for 50 secs in respawn. So when the next round starts ther other team will be killed. Is that ok?

another question: if your defending on avanti and you set a detpack for 50 secs at the well right when they cap the last point... is that ok?

The answer to both questions is NO, it is not OK. The only purpose for that would be to catch people respawning. Not very sporstsmanlike.

I det that wall immediatley every time. That is when Frag doesn't spot me. I stay to the right the entire time. I go all the way around the church and come up in the enemy respawn. When you walk through, they think your a spy. But yeah, if you kill anyone, your in trouble.
