Have I ever told you I luv steam.
whenever I try to get onto any server I get the same message, "failed server verification" or close to it.
Ive deleted my client,blob and it didnt help.
HELP GUYS

Hmm silly question, but did you exit completely out of steam including exiting the icon in the system tray?
I had to do that earlier this morning and also reboot my pc and I was fine after.

| ya, I have to log out and back in every now and then. Make sure and do it from the settings window in steam though. |

Well I've tried to shut down steam, start it, even kick start it, log in, log out, log off, log on, re-log the log that I just laid, and nothing works to actually get into a game. I am able to yap on steam chat though.
One thing that I am noticing is that when I try to launch I DO NOT see the normal security verification thing happening. Stevo is that what you are referring to and if so what do I do , just wait til it comes up or ??

Well Steam has a bunch of servers that you connect to to verify and stuff. If the server you use is down, there's not much you can do.  Go to http://steampowered.com/status.html for info. Right now it says everything is fine, but you know Steam...

I talked to my ISP and it appears that I have a "winsock 2" problem.
Anyone know if a pc dummy can fix this.

Well my pc is totalled again. I cant get into ANYTHING that has to do with numbers ie: e-mail, servers, banking etc etc etc.
PC is now of to see the vet and get a physical.
