DOD n00b

Ok, I finally decided to start playing DOD, and after much haggling with Steam, I am now playing. However, I am having 1 small problem. The in game chat doesn't seem to be working. When I hit 'y' or 'u' it allows me to type a message but when I hit enter it just disappears. Basically I can't see any written messages that should be displayed. I can hear my teammates fine, but I see any messages.

Also, the stats seem to be ignoring me. I don't show up at all. Is this because I am not playing on the right server? I have played on two of them I don't remember which ones, but it was the only two that seem to have anyone playing on them. I wanna know how much I am sucking!

Here you go..

Open steam and go to options

Then click on skins

Change it from whatever it is (probably grey) to default skin. Go in game and see if things are fine now. Should be.

I know but it wont work with the beta DoD yet. Maybe they will fix it soon. They still have many bugs to get rid of.

I'm actually having more fun with it now. Except that some of the hit boxes screw up from time to time. I know it's not just me with this problem since I talked to a few in game that were having the same problem. Once the map changed the problem seemed to clear itself.
